...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation. Snow accumulations between 3 and
  5 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas and central and west
  central Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous from freezing drizzle and light
  freezing rain this evening and tonight. Snow will commence by the
  morning, with treacherous road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  7 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas and central,
  north central, northeast, northwest, and west central Missouri.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 9 PM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  are expected to impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
